A Day to Pause, Reset & Reconnect


In the busyness of everyday life, it’s easy to keep going without ever really stopping to check in.

The Self-Love Day Retreat is a spacious, grounding day designed to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and gently reflect on what you need more (and less) of in your life - without pressure, fixing, or overwhelm.

Now in its fourth year, this retreat has sold out each time and continues to offer a supportive, down-to-earth space for rest, reflection, and meaningful self-connection.

Set at Yoga House , a peaceful historic space beside a quiet stream, with bush reserve and the ocean close by - the day invites you to step away from the noise and come back to yourself.


What to Expect

This retreat blends movement, reflection, learning, and deep rest to support your nervous system and overall wellbeing.

Throughout the day, you’ll be guided through:


  • Opening Circle - A welcoming space to arrive, settle, and gently set the tone for the day.

  • Breathwork (Pranayama) - Simple, accessible breathing practices to support calm, presence, and clarity.

  • Yoga & Movement - A combination of gentle Vinyasa, Yin, and floor-based movement to release tension, improve mobility, and reconnect with your body.

  • Reflective Self-Inquiry & Journaling - Guided prompts to explore values, boundaries, and what self-care looks like for you right now.

  • Walking Meditation (weather permitting) - A mindful walk to connect with nature and integrate the morning’s practices.

  • Individual Reiki-Infused Mini Neck & Shoulder Massage - Each participant receives a short individual session combining hands-on massage with gentle Reiki energy, supporting relaxation and nervous system regulation.

  • Meditation & Yoga Nidra - The day closes with a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra practice. This guided meditation supports deep rest and works with the subconscious mind, helping to soften habitual stress responses and gently shift unhelpful thought patterns or self-beliefs.

  • Closing Circle - A grounding finish to reflect, integrate, and leave feeling calmer, clearer, and more connected.



Nourishment

You’ll be nourished throughout the day with:

  • A wholesome vegetarian lunch

  • An all-day grazing platter with nourishing snacks

  • Herbal teas and refreshments

You’ll also leave with a small, thoughtful gift.

All Vitality retreats are designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of experience or beliefs. If you’ve never done yoga before or can’t touch your toes, you are very welcome here — everything is adaptable and guided.

Lauren Filer - The Vitality Space

Originally from the UK, Lauren has over 18 years of international teaching experience across movement, bodywork, and wellbeing. She is passionate about creating grounded, inclusive spaces where people can slow down, reconnect, and feel supported — without judgement or expectation.

Her approach is practical, nurturing, and accessible, drawing on experience in Yoga, Pilates, Personal Training, Massage, Reiki, and retreat facilitation.

Do I need to have done yoga or retreats before?

Not at all. Everything is guided and adaptable. You’re encouraged to listen to your body and rest whenever needed.


Is this retreat spiritual or ‘woo’?

The day is grounded and practical. While there is space for reflection and inner awareness, everything is offered in a relatable, down-to-earth way.


Can I come on my own?

Absolutely. Many people attend solo. Others come as friends, couples, siblings, or parent/child combinations — all are welcome.


Are men welcome?

Yes — absolutely. Wellness is for everyBODY, and a diverse mix of people often adds richness to the space.


What should I wear or bring?

Wear comfortable clothing you can move and relax in. All props are provided. You may like to bring a journal, water bottle, and a warm layer.


What if I can’t attend after booking?

Tickets are strictly non-refundable but can be transferred to someone else.
